Loren Dermody
Course Conductor
Loren is currently an independent coach and choreographer. She is a Sask. Sport Hall of Fame Inductee (Team) and a recipient of the Lynda Garland Award for Excellence. Loren graduated from the University of Calgary with a BFA in dance studies and has been teaching dance & acrobatics for the last 20 years. She is an ADAPT Jazz and Tap certified teacher, a member of the Canadian Dance Teacher's Association (jazz), an Acrobatic Arts certified teacher and examiner, and a level 2 NCCP accredited coach.
Loren has choreographed numerous award winning solo, duo, trio, small and large group routines for competitions and recitals. In addition to her participation with dance & acrobatics, Loren is actively involved with coaching and judging baton twirling, an activity that has taken her to over 15 countries. She is a CBTF certified coach & judge and a WBTF certified judge. Loren has worked with the Alixa Flexibility Method for the past 12 years. Teaching & flexibility are Loren's passion.
